To the apparent astonishment of the Mac batter, Eagle catcher AJ Rivero pirouettes behind the plate in the top of the 5th inning.

Luis Bosquez was one of two Eagles who would score in the bottom of the 5th, knotting the score at 3 apiece.

Quietly and ever so gently, Eagle Coach Chris Randolph whispers, "Please come to 3rd base."

With the Varsity Eagles waiting in the stands for their turn on the field at Burger, Robert Walker bats in the bottom of the 6th. Walker would become the winning run for the JV Navy Eagles.

Eagle reliever Eric Garcia closes out the game with a scoreless 7th and gets the win. Eagles 4-3.

Because the home team Eagles were ahead going into the bottom half of the final inning, it didn't need to be played. The final scoreboard at Burger displays the good news: McCallum Knights 3, Akins Eagles 4.
