At the end of a 7-pitch at bat, Daniel Leal gets a base hit.

Having both been brought home by the 2-RBI base hit of Martin Salinas, Fabian (L) and Leal (R) greet one another at the plate.

Eagle pitcher Tyler Pinson bats in the top of the 1st inning.

Salinas’ hit marks the welcome end of a dry spell.

Alvin Sassenhagen coaches 1st base for the Eagles’ 4-run 1st inning.

In the 1st chapter of an interesting subplot, Derek Evans strikes out in the 1st inning, but Trojan catcher Podrebarac drops the ball and has to throw to 1st base for the out.
