Just one second from being gunned down! The ball (at the center of the picture) will make it to Daniel Fabian's glove for the tag at 3rd before Georgetown base runner Jordan Vierra can arrive to become the final out of the inning. Shortstop Jason Rangel moves to back up the throw from catcher Charles Morton.

STRIKE THREE CALLED on a full count to end the inning. The G'town batter bores holes through the ump and the G'town coach can't believe it either. Meanwhile, Eagle catcher Morton quickly grabs his top hat and cane and exits stage right.

Derek Evans leads off the final inning with an impressive 1st-pitch triple.

The Eagles drew the host team on its own field for their opening game in the Georgetown Invitational Tournament. Eagle lefthander Eric Davila pitched a complete game, but the effort was hurt by defensive errors at key points in the game.

Scoring for the Eagles was confined to the fourth inning.
