District 14-6A MVP

For the first time ever, a player from the Eagles Baseball program has been named the Most Valuable Player of the entire District.
This is the highest district honor. Rudy Reyna is District MVP for 2018, having demonstrated both offensive and defensive excellence throughout district play.

Two Eagles Seniors were chosen to participate in the 2018 AABCA All-Star game on Sunday, June 10, at Dell Diamond. The annual contest divides the area’s outstanding players into teams from the North and South. Eagles Rudy Reyna and Mason Arvallo were named to the South team.

Akins Baseball Booster Club Scholarship

The Akins Baseball Booster Club has awarded a monetary scholarship that it hopes will become an annual affair. The 2018 inaugural sum of $1,500 was presented to graduating Senior Rudy Reyna, who has announced his intention to attend St. Edward’s University in Austin next year.
